Docnity (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to providing reliable home healthcare services including doctor visits, nursing care, caregiver services, physiotherapy, lab tests, and medical equipment rentals. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling requests are handled on our Platform.
By booking a service through Docnity, you agree to this policy.
All bookings are subject to confirmation by Docnity. You will receive a confirmation via SMS, email, or in-app notification once a healthcare professional is assigned to your request.
You may cancel a confirmed booking subject to the following:
a) Doctor Visit / Nursing Care / Caregiver / Physiotherapy
Cancellation within 12 hours of booking: Full refund (100%).
Cancellation between 12 to 6 hours before scheduled time: 50% refund.
Cancellation within 6 hours of scheduled time: No refund.
b) Lab Tests
Cancellation within 12 hours of booking: Full refund.
Cancellation within 6–12 hours before sample collection: 50% refund.
Cancellation within 6 hours of sample collection: No refund.
c) Medical Equipment Rental
Cancellation before delivery: Full refund.
Cancellation after delivery but before usage: 50% refund (subject to inspection).
Cancellation after usage: No refund.
Docnity may cancel a booking due to:
Unavailability of staff
Emergency situations
Safety concerns
Service area limitations
If Docnity cancels, you will receive:
Full refund, or
Option to reschedule without extra charges
You may reschedule a confirmed booking subject to availability.
Rescheduling more than 6 hours before scheduled time: Free.
Rescheduling within 6 hours: ₹100 rescheduling fee may apply.
Refunds will be processed using the original payment method:
Credit/Debit Card / UPI / Wallet: 3–7 business days
Net Banking: 5–10 business days
Cash payments: Refund via bank transfer within 7 working days
If the customer is unavailable at the scheduled time, or if the customer cancels after the healthcare professional has already reached the location, the following applies:
No-show / Cancellation after arrival: No refund
If the professional waits for more than 15 minutes: No refund
If you face issues with service quality, please contact our support immediately. We will review and may offer:
Refund (full/partial), or
Free re-service, or
Credit for future bookings
This will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
